Who Are We?

Our Origins

In 2025, our family was facing some financial hardships, and as we looked around at people we knew, it hit home that we weren't alone.

  • Mortgages and Interest Rates were increasing out of control
  • Inflation was going berserk
  • Fuel prices had tripled
  • Schools were demanding more technology supplied by parents
  • Kids were demanding 24/7 access to the internet
  • Food prices were through the roof
  • Rental prices were growing exponentially
  • Unemployment and massive Layoffs were happening all around us

In general, the cost of living was increasing so quickly, that any income was just being drained. To this day, the costs just keep climbing sky high, day after day. There are thousands of families doing it hard, and we decided that there has to be a better way.

The Idea

To be honest, the thought of starting a Telco never occurred to us. While we have the expertise from working for other Telco's in the past, and having run our own reasonably successful businesses, the idea of running a Telco of our own, seemed impossible. The infrastructure required seemed insurmountable for just a couple of people who were already struggling to make ends meet.

Enter our Partners.

While browsing online one day, we came across our current Partners, who seemed to be offering something that was too good to be true. We looked over their rates card, and started doing some comparisons. What we found, blew us away.

Our Partners wholesale/white-label costs didn't match up with what we were seeing from other major providers. The margins that other major Telco's were making must be massive if these rates are industry wide.

So we decided to crunch some numbers, by comparing our own mobile provider with what we were seeing on the rates card.

  • We'd have no employees (in the short term)
  • We'd have no offices
  • We'd need no extra infrastructure
  • We could add a reasonable Margin
  • Add GST
  • Add the costs of a Website; Phone; Email, and Support Ticket systems
  • We'd need to figure out what is important to customers about a phone plan
  • We'd ignore all the fluff, like addons and data packs

The list goes on.  The numbers looked good. Very good. There was real potential here. Not just to make a reasonable income for a bit of hard graft, but also a way we can help decrease other family's bills, while still providing a service that will cover everyone's basic needs.

After a lot of asking around and talking with people in depth, we began to realize that there's an opportunity here to do good for everyone.

Our Ethos

The biggest thing we had to think about was how we define, and what is our Ethos? After much debate, we've come to the conclusion that just like us, our customers are real people trying to get by, and likely have the same problems we do. So we need to approach people with respect and understanding (something sorely lacking in the Telecommunications industry).

When Google dropped their mantra "Don't Be Evil", it was a dark day for the technology industry. It signaled a change that was scary, yet inevitable.

If a massive company like Google is going to lose it's way, then we will take it up in their place.

To that end, these are our basic rules that guide everything we do:

  • You are our customer, we rely on your business to survive - You deserve our respect; understanding, and honesty at all times.
  • Earning your trust, is more important than looking good, or earning massive profits. We're not trying to win a popularity contest.
  • We want you to continue to be our customer, and will do everything in our power to fulfill (and exceed) your expectations of us.
  • We will never hide or obscure anything from you. If a question is asked, it is our responsibility to reply honestly.
  • Our prices are not a reflect the current landscape of other providers (we can never compete, and will always be undercut by major players), it should reflect our costs and a reasonably ethical markup, so that if our prices decrease, the savings are passed on to our customers as well.
  • We will never nickle-and-dime our customers. Data packs; addons; timed high speed data etc - These are only more ways to increase revenue.
  • We will only ever provide clear and simple pricing, so there is no opportunity for confusion.
  • We will solve your issues as soon as reasonably possible. We're currently only two people, so time frames may lag a bit. If we're honest and up front about it, we can make sure the voices of every one of our customers is heard.
  • Your opinion matters. We cannot grow and thrive with you, without your input. We're constantly looking for feedback about how we can improve for you; how we can make our services better, and what is important to you. We will listen and take action.
  • We will attempt to anticipate any issues before they happen, and actively attempt to solve them.
  • We will be responsible and open about everything we do, so that you can trust that we're always trying to do right by you.
  • We will be immediately forthcoming, especially in the cases of a crisis, in an attempt to keep you safe and informed.
  • In emergency situations like disasters and danger to life, we will drop everything to focus on the issue at hand. It is of the utmost importance that we work through the emergency from start to finish.
  • We will never ignore or avoid a given situation because it is uncomfortable.
  • We are deeply grateful for those who dedicate their lives to our safety and well-being - our Armed Forces, Educators, Doctors, Police, and First Responders. They heal us; protect us, and serve our community every day. In return, we commit to supporting them wholeheartedly, ensuring they have the resources, respect, and care they deserve.
